Phenomenal!

Savannah Jade is one of the most talented young poets that I have had the pleasure of knowing and meeting. I've been following her work on her @JadePoetry Instagram account for a year now and she never fails to amaze me! Her words are crafty, insightful, and so down to Earth. Some days I'll read a dark poem that grasps my heart and forces me to reflect on my life, and other days I'm laughing from her absolute wit and humor. She truly is worth the buy, I cannot wait to see what her future career as an author beholds for her. Very honored to purchase this work of literature.

I have been following this poet online for a while now and I am always impressed with the depth of her writing. Given her age, she has an astonishing grasps well beyond her years. The poetry comes from a place of knowledge and understanding. In a time when so many are looking the other way when it comes to the hardships of life and the struggles of those with deeper rooted troubles, this author attacks the subject head on and provides a voice for those afraid to speak out.

Magically Delicious!

This anthology is an excellent collection of Fantastic readings. Like all anthologies choices can be questioned: "How could David Young leave this out while including that?" But there is a large enough sampling collected to give anyone interested in Magical Realism his or her fill. I would venture to say that this "one book" would satisfy a marooned bibliophile for quite some time.

My favorites are Vladimir Nabokov's THE VISIT TO THE MUSEUM and Julio Cortazar's AXOLOTL, but the rest of the canon includes other literary giants, making this a collection to return to often. It would be a great text for a grad seminar on Fantastic Literature. Highly recommended.

Exactly what I expected

The book got here within a week of my ordering it and it was in new condition. I will continue to order from Amazon because of all my great experiences with them. I highly recommend buying your school books from Amazon. Even with the shipping, the books were in better condition and cost less than the books in my school's bookstore. Wonderful introduction to magical realist fiction!

David Young was a professor of mine at Oberlin College (he is still there), and he proved that he is as sensitive an editor as he was a teacher. This book is especially illuminating in that it begins with selections that can be considered precursors to magical realist fiction. This provides a comprehensive view of the evolution of this genre, which enriches the reading of the stories included later in this volume.

Take it from someone who knows; this book is exactly what any would-be practitioner of Shiatsu and accupressure needs. If your just starting out, or if you've taken years of classes on the matter as I have, Mr. Namikoshi will show you step-by-step exactly what points to hit, in what order for maximum effectiveness, and using what positioning of the body as well as the hands and fingers you are applying with. No homeopathic practitioner should be without this book; I only wish I had more stars to work with. The book is REAAAAAAAALLYYYYYYYY GOODD.... but the online format is HORRIBLE... awful.... it's so hard to read it.. confusing... you cannot turn the pages easily.... it gets stack all the time... and the images sometimes move page to page.. is sooo weird... maybe the coding process was not made correctly...

but the book itself and the content Juanes put on it... is beautiful....

You can hear the voice of Juanes in this book, just as you know it's all Juanes in his songs. I haven't read the translation yet (but I will) because I wanted to read the book in his words, in his voice, first. He's an original and every fan of music will enjoy these stories. A poet alive, and singing, in the world.
