This book was amazing. I finished this book in like 2 days. I couldn't put it down once I opened it. This book is all about empowering people and it is a reminder that we all need to value ourselves and know our worth. This book also discusses relationships and how to deal with certain issues. I would recommend this book to everyone, especially for people that are in college and are young adults like me. This is a great book to add to your collection. This is a must buy.

An amazing book.

The internet is constantly bombarding us with visuals and messages and ideas. It's hard to think, if I'm being honest, which is why I got this book. I really found it useful. The author goes through the biggies like religions, cults, media, corporations and more. What I like about this book is that the author gives an introduction/history of each section of propaganda and then breaks it down to its origins on most of them. The religion section was fascinating to me because he explained the tenants of each major faith, showing their similarities and differences, then gave rational steps to objectively nullify their swaying power. Being a free thinker is important in this information age. Having a sound mind to research and calmly analyze ideas is vital to keeping your sanity. This book helped me in that regard. Highly recommend.

Ever Wonder...

I have always been the curious type, asking questions about everything. My grandfather used to call the television the "idiot box," and now I understand why. Have you ever wondered why you believe certain things? Well, Jim Foster addresses these very issues in this book, UnBrainwashing Yourself.

Foster does an excellent job in explaining the propaganda behind mass media, the educations system, medical field, the government, and much more. A very eye-opening read that has made me question why I even began to watch tv in the first place. Highly recommend those who like to question the state of the world and their belief system and want to make a positive change in their lives. I have a much clearer perspective on everything and I am better for it.
